Economy Collaboration Project Ending

Friday, April 30th, 2010

The Economy Collaboration Project, funded by CPB to cover the economic crisis, is ending. During this project, Public Interactive provided editorial support, hosted writing and social media webinars, produced an aggregated feed, blog, twitter feed and managed the The Knowledge Network wiki.

The Knowledge Network wiki will continue to house all Economy Project resources for stations interested in accessing this valuable content at http://network.npr.org.

And some things must come to an end.

The Aggregated News Feed: During the project, we curated a feed of Economy stories from PI client stations for national distribution. Special thanks goes out to all our stations who have contributed your stories to this feed!

And this also means that Ki-Min Sung, PI’s fabulous Economy Collaboration Project Manager/Editor, must depart PI as our project ends. Ki’s last day with PI is today, Friday, 4/30. Please join us in thanking Ki for her time with us here at PI.

The Economy Project - Update

Monday, July 27th, 2009

As you may know, Public Interactive is participating in the Economy Collaboration funded by CPB to cover the economic crisis. Similar to last year’s Election Collaboration, we will provide editorial assistance for your online news content and produce an aggregated feed.

The Economy Project aggregated news feed will include stories created by you, curated into one single feed for distribution to help generate traffic back to your sites. We’re pleased to have our new editor/curator Ki-Min Sung (Kee) on board, who will provide support in this endeavor. Ki comes to us with experience in radio (NPR, KCRW, Marketplace) and print. She is currently based at NPR West in Culver City, California.

Keep an eye out for the Economy Project section in your Public NewsRoom, and get ready to contribute your stories!
